About

Hello world, I'm Sydnee Mizuno. I'm a full-stack software engineer who's currently focused in the healthcare space. Unlike many of my colleagues, I did not come out of the womb coding. I began college without any idea of what I wanted to do or any technical experience of any kind. I eventually chose to pursue my degree in electrical engineering, but quickly realized that hardware and power system design weren't for me. During my sophomore year, I landed a co-op as a developer for a medical device company, and I've happily worked in software ever since.

My professional experience began with writing low-level code for robotic systems in the medical device industry. I then moved to the aerospace industry, writing signal processing algorithms for low-latency systems. After wearing many hats at a startup, I transitioned into the web development world where I've stayed. I currently focus on creating performant applications that deliver a great user experience.
